Highlights
Uttarakhand Government will provide below mentioned financial assistance to researchers/ shodhkarta for doing research under Mukhyamantri Uccha Shiksha Shodh Protsahan Yojana :-
One Time Grant of Rs. 15,00,000/- will be provided to selected researcher/ shodhkarta.
In special circumstances, this One Time Grant will further extended to Rs. 18,00,000/-.
Apart from One Time Grant, Monthly Financial Assistance of Rs. 5,000/- per month will also provided till the end of researcher’s research.

Introduction
Research is very important aspect in today’s human life. which plays very vital role behind every successful thing done by humans. Same like that, to maintain the quality of education research is very much importantly needed. Indian Government also emphasised on importance of Research in New Education Policy. Now, Government of Uttarakhand steps forward to work towards research by implementing new scheme.The name of scheme is “Mukhyamantri Uccha Shiksha Shodh Protsahan Yojana”. It is going to be implemented in the state from the year 2023-2024. The main objective behind launching Mukhyamantri Uccha Shiksha Shodh Protsahan Yojana is to encourage researcher to do well in the field of research by providing them a monetary assistance. Department of Higher Education of Uttarakhand Government is the nodal department of this scheme. This Scheme is also known by some other names like “Mukhyamantri Uccha Shiksha Shodh Protsahan Scheme” or “Uttarakhand Chief Minister Higher Education Research Incentive Scheme” or “Uttarakhand Chief Minister Uccha Shiksha Shodh Protsahan Yojana”. Government is going to provide One Time Grant and Monthly Financial Assistance to researchers under this scheme. One Time Grant of Rs. 15,00,000/- will be provided to Teacher/ Professors or Students who are doing research in the field of betterment of education. This Grant will further extended to Rs. 18,00,000/- in special circumstances. Apart from that One Time Grant, A monthly financial assistance of Rs. 5,000/- will also provided to selected researcher under Mukhyamantri Uccha Shiksha Shodh Protsahan Yojana. One Time Grant under this scheme will be provided to researchers/ shodhkarta in 3 instalments. Government of Uttarakhand releases the budget of Rs. 2 Crore for the year 2023-2024 for proper implementation of this scheme. It is mandatory to include students in those research who proposal value is more than Rs. 5,00,000/. Researchers/ Shodhkarta will apply for grant for their research by filling Online Application Form.

Eligibility
Government of Uttarakhand sets the following eligibility conditions in order to avail the benefit of Mukhyamantri Ucch Shiksha Shodh Protsahan Yojana :-

• Researcher/ Shodhkarta should be a Resident of Uttarakhand.
• Following Researchers/ Shodhkarta are eligible for financial assistance :-
• Regular Professor and Teachers.
• Regular College going Students.
• Research Fellows.
• Teachers and Students doing their research in any of the below mentioned college/ university are eligible to apply :-

• Government Colleges.
• Government University.
• Private University who received Government Grant.
• State University.
