Anti Ragging Rules & Regulations of the College
In accordance with the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, ragging is strictly prohibited within the college premises. The institution recognizes ragging as a serious offense that threatens the safety and well-being of all students, with particular attention to the vulnerabilities faced by freshmen.

The college is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where students can learn and grow without fear of harassment or intimidation. To uphold this commitment, the college has implemented comprehensive measures to combat ragging and ensure a safe educational atmosphere.
Enforcement
- All students and their parents/guardians must familiarize themselves with the Supreme Court’s guidelines on ragging.
- Any violation of these guidelines by a student will lead to immediate disciplinary action from the college, including the possibility of an FIR being lodged against the offender.
- All students are required to sign an undertaking acknowledging their understanding of the college’s stance on ragging and the associated penalties. A similar undertaking is mandated from the parents/guardians.
Composition of Anti-Ragging Committee : An Anti-Ragging Committee and Squad have been established under the supervision of the Principal to ensure adherence to these regulations and to address any incidents of ragging.
Definition of Ragging: – Ragging refers to any act that may include, but is not limited to, the following behaviors:
1. Verbal Abuse:– Teasing, treating, or handling with rudeness a fresher or any student through spoken or written words.
2. Indiscipline:– Engaging in rowdy or unruly conduct that causes or is likely to cause distress, physical harm, or psychological fear to a fresher or any other student.
3. Forced Actions:– Coercing a student to perform acts that they would not typically engage in, leading to feelings of shame, embarrassment, or detriment to their psyche.
4. Disruption of Activities:– Any act by senior students that interrupts the regular academic pursuits of other students or freshers.
5. Exploitation of Freshers:– Utilizing a fresher’s labor or services to complete academic assignments for individuals or groups.
6. Financial Extortion:– Any form of financial coercion or undue expense imposed on a fresher or any student.
7. Physical and Sexual Abuse:– Any form of physical violence or sexual harassment, including but not limited to: assault, stripping, or forcing inappropriate acts.
8. Written and Electronic Abuse:– Utilizing spoken words, emails, or public insults to humiliate or derive pleasure from the discomfort of freshers or other students.
9. Mental Health Impact:– Actions that adversely affect the mental well-being or self-esteem of a fresher or any other student.
10. Displaying Authority:– Using power or superiority to impose discomfort on a fresher or any student, regardless of intent.
ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION IN THE EVENT OF RAGGING
Disciplinary Procedure for Ragging Offenses
- In accordance with the college’s commitment to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students, any student found guilty of ragging shall be subjected to strict disciplinary action.
- This action will follow due process as outlined by the institution’s policies.
- The Anti-Ragging Committee is responsible for evaluating each case of ragging based on the recommendations provided by the Anti-Ragging Squad.
- The committee will consider the specific circumstances and facts of the incident before determining appropriate punishment.
- Depending on the nature and gravity of the established guilt, the Anti-Ragging Committee may impose one or more penalties.
- Possible punishments include suspension from attending classes and losing academic privileges for a specified duration.
- Financial benefits such as scholarships and fellowships may be withheld or withdrawn.
- The student may also face debarment from appearing in tests, examinations, or other evaluation processes.
- In addition, the results of examinations may be withheld pending the outcome of the disciplinary procedures.
- The student may be prohibited from representing the institution in any regional, national, or international events or tournaments.
- There may also be suspension or expulsion from hostel accommodations.
- In severe cases, the student’s admission to the college may be canceled.
- The student may also face rustication from the institution for a period ranging from one to four semesters.
- Finally, expulsion from the institution may occur, accompanied by a ban on admission to any other educational institution for a specified period.
