Legal Awareness Cell

National Legal Literacy Mission was launched by the National Legal Services Authority on 6 March 2005 with its motto, From Ignorance to Legal Empowerment. This is an important step to empower the most marginalized, vulnerable, poor and deprived persons of the society. Its main objective is to make women, children and persons with disabilities aware of their rights to live a life with dignity and enjoy equality before law through legal literacy. In Rajkiya Mahavidyalaya, Amori, efforts are made to educate the youth about the law and also educate them about their rights, duties, benefits and laws, so that they become ideal law abiding citizens in the society. The Legal Awareness Cell strives to make girls aware of their constitutional legal rights and duties. It empowers them to fight gender discrimination, domestic violence, sexual harassment, dowry and injustice in social life.
