In alignment with its commitment to fostering student engagement in decision-making and quality enhancement, college forms a student union annually, following the completion of college admissions. The election process is conducted directly by the students, adhering to the guidelines established by Soban Singh Jeena University Almora and the Lyngdoh Committee. The student union serves as an elected body representing the voice and welfare of the student community, acting as a crucial liaison between the students and the college administration. The union is composed of the President, Vice-President (Male and Female), General Secretary, Cultural Secretary, and Treasurer. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that the concerns and needs of the student body are addressed while also promoting a vibrant and inclusive campus culture.
Objectives of the Student Union:
- Representation of Student Interests: To act as a representative body for the students, ensuring that their voices, needs, and concerns are effectively communicated to the college administration.
- Enhancement of Student Welfare: To work towards the overall well-being of the student community by addressing issues related to academics, campus life, and extracurricular activities.
- Fostering Leadership and Responsibility: To provide a platform for students to develop leadership skills, take on responsibilities, and engage in constructive decision-making processes.
- Promotion of Campus Unity and Collaboration: To build a sense of community by promoting unity and collaboration between various departments, societies, and student groups within the college.
